Definition

It is responsible for controlling, guiding and coordinating the processes of reinforcing the quality assurance and academic accreditation practices in all its units.

    

Detailed functions of the Director of Quality Center:
-
Participating in setting up the strategic plan project via, presenting the data and information required for its formation and development and evaluating the programs and plans in the college depending on the approved mechanisms.

- He is responsible for developing the strategic plan for the Quality Assurance unit and carrying out its implementation besides proposing development alternatives.

- He is responsible for suggesting competent authorities for accreditation, after thorough researching and balancing between all the available alternatives in the light of the college’s vision, message and strategic goals. He is responsible for proposing the means and standards for administrative and academic units’ performance evaluation in the scope of quality assurance and academic accreditation, and following up its implementation in accordance with the approved mechanism.

- He is responsible for continuous tracking of the administrative and academic units’ performance in the scope of quality assurance and academic accreditation, as well as preparing of reports that contain suggestions.

- He is responsible for proposing the establishment of a general data base quality assurance and academic accreditation, and key in, processing and updating the needed data in accordance with the approved mechanism.

- He is responsible for Keeping the intercommunication channels open with the Deanship of Quality Assurance and Development regarding the practices of quality assurance and academic accreditation by coordinating with the college’s vice Dean.

- He is responsible for participating in the process of developing standards, means and mechanisms of evaluating the performance as well as measuring the achievements in accordance with the approved mechanism. 

- He is responsible for participating in the process of developing and implementing the programs of spreading the perception of quality assurance at the college’s level in accordance with the approved mechanism.

- He is responsible for proposing the called for plans for developing the skills of the college’s staff, from both sides: faculty members and employees and their carrying out in accordance with the approved mechanism.

- He is responsible for participating in the process of developing the policy, standards and means of the faculty members’ performance and coordinating with the Performance Assessment Department in accordance with the approved mechanism.

- He is responsible for overseeing the college’s strategic plan carrying out and evaluating the levels of achievement during the carrying out phase as well as preparing of the periodic reports in accordance with the approved mechanism.

- He is responsible for preparing and submitting periodic reports about the acts of development that contain development suggestions. He is responsible for administering any other development duties in accordance with the approved mechanism.
