The University Rectorship accomplished, in coordination with relevant committees, the preparation of the tenth development plan for the university 1436/1437 AH - 1440/1441 AH. On this occasion, HE Dr. Musalam bin Mohammed Al-Dossari (the Vice Rector and the head of the supervision and follow-up Committee) declared the adoption of the tenth development plan. He pointed out that this plan was prepared to take into account a number of important objectives which match the stages reached by the university and lived by our country as follows: Preserving Islamic values and teachings, reinforcing national unity, the consolidation of the Saudi and Islamic identity through the preservation of Islamic values and teachings, the consolidation of the identity of the Kingdom, the reinforcement of national unity, as well as supporting economic variety in its different dimensions, the shift towards an economy based on knowledge and information society through the publishing, investment, generation and the management of knowledge, expanding the capacity of the national economy, reinforcement of its growth ,stability and competitive abilities, raising the productivity level of the national economy, raising the added value of natural resources in the national economy and diversifying its sources and ensuring their sustainability, protecting the environment, preserving wildlife, developing the small and medium-sized enterprises sector , increasing its contribution to GDP, localization of employment, strengthening the financial and monetary stability, increasing the contributions of the private sector by raising its productivity to achieve the development goals, the optimal investment in demographic resources, raising the living standards, improving the quality of life for all segments of society, developing the human resources and raising their productivity and expanding their options in acquiring knowledge, skills and experiences, developing the youth entrepreneurial, cognitive and physical abilities and promoting their competencies to effectively contribute in the development of the nation. empowerment of women to increase their contribution in various fields of development, strengthening of social safety nets, taking care of the family and childhood, providing the appropriate and sufficient job opportunities for national labor, reducing unemployment, facilitating the citizens' access to adequate housing according to a variety of options and programs that meet the demand, providing comprehensive and integrated high-quality health care to the whole population, development of the cultural movement, upgrading Media work, promoting the process of institutional reform, supporting the civil society, raising the efficiency and productivity of the country's institutions and their staff, as well as raising the quality of implementation of development programs and projects, raising the quality of development project and programs execution and developing their mechanisms of implementation as well as maintenance follow-up, improving the efficiency of public services and facilities provided for the population, increasing their availability in the various regions, achieving balanced development between the regions of the Kingdom , consolidation of the principles of accountability and transparency and the protection of integrity and anti-corruption, endorsing economic integration with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab countries, developing the Kingdom's relations with Islamic and friendly nations, and strengthening the role of the Kingdom at the global level. • His Excellency pointed out also that the preparation of this plan was carried by a number of competent committees which are specialist in preparing university plans namely: the committee of preparing the university plan with the corresponding team from the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the competent team to enter the data in the system which belongs to the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the supervisory committee of entering the plan in the system of the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the committee of following-up the works of the tenth development plan of the university. HE mentioned that there are indicators to follow-up the plan as follows: First, review of the periodic reports of the General Department of Planning and Administrative Development submitted to the ministry, holding a specialized workshop for the planners at the university sectors, and follow-up the implementation of the terms of the tenth development plan of the university.
