HE The Vice Rector Makes A Spotting Visit To The Astronomical Observatory Centre At The University

His Excellency the Vice Rector, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari made a spotting visit to the Astronomical Observatory Centre on Thursday, 27/1/1436 at Hotat Sudair. He was greeted by the Dean of Sciences and Humanities College of Hotat Sudair and the supervisor of the Astronomical Observatory Centre and its members. During this visit they viewed what was done for the Astronomical Observatory Centre, and what has been achieved for its operational requirements, and utilities that have been provided in preparation for its operating. Also, during the visit they discussed the operational plan of the Astronomical Observatory Centre and some arrangements that must be taken into account for the implementation of this plan.

In this regard, HE the Vice Rector, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari stated that the operational work of the Astronomical Observatory Centre in its first phase, will be according to the available resources that aim at raising the level of education in the field of astronomical observations  among all employees, members and especially students of the university community. Also the university seeks to recruit qualified expertise in astronomy, in addition to partnerships with Authorities of relevant interest and excellence in astronomy. The University aims over the long term to be an educational experience edifice and scientific reference in astronomy and observing cosmic phenomena.
