A TRAINING PROGRAM ENTITLED "MODERN CURRICULA IN TEACHING ENGLISH LANGUAGE READING SKILL" HELD AT HOTAT SUDAIR

The Student Activities Committee at the College of Science and Human Studies organized a training program entitled "Modern Curricula in Teaching English Language Reading skill". The program, which targeted English language teachers, took place on Sunday, 30/06/1436 A.H, at the Office of Education in Hotat Sudair. Mr. Hussein Batayneh, the Secretary of the Student Activities at the College, presented the program in the presence of a number of English language teachers from various schools in Hotat Sudair . This cooperation came within the partnership between the College of Science and Humanities in Hotat Sudair and the local community in order to support the professional growth of teachers. Throughout the program, a detailed clarification was provided on the stages of teaching reading skill, noting that all clarified steps and general strategies can be applied on other skills as well, such as listening, speaking and writing, taking into account the behavioral objectives, the level of students, teaching aids, and the specificity of each skill separately. The program aimed to bridge the gap between the curriculum and learning outcomes, and to contribute to modifying the overall plan to be in line with students' needs in general education. At the end of the program, His Excellency the Director of the Office of Education, Mr. Saleh Alzakari thanked His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Tariq Bin Sulaiman Al Bahlal for these educational initiatives.
