A group of MU students won an award in the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare at the Digital Transformation Hackathon in Healthcare and Medical Education which was held at Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences in Al-Dharan.
The team from the Department of Physiotherapy and Health Rehabilitation, College of Applied Medical Science, comprises the following students: Hind Al-Mutairi, Nora Al-Qashami, Rand Al-Khamis, Aseel Al-Mutairi.
Supervised by Dr. Asma Al-Anizi, Assistant Professor, the team's project was an Electronic nerve stimulation chip.

Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs visits the research centers
Based on the vision of the Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs to ensure the availability of a distinctive and stimulating academic environment for scientific research, and within the framework of the Vice-Rectorate for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies in order to provide advanced and supportive research services to faculty members and students, Her Excellency Dr. Jawaher bint Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Vice President for Female Student Affairs, paid a field visit to the research centers, including the Engineering Research Center and the Health Sciences Research Center, and she was received by His Excellency the Vice President At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice Ahmed Dean praised the efforts made by the Deanship during the past period to promote scientific research at the university and the support provided by the Deanship to women's departments in the field of scientific research and innovation. Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, the University, represented by the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development, held an honoring ceremony for the winners of the President's Award for Quality and Excellence in its tenth session 1442 AH - 1443 AH, which is held by the Deanship on an annual basis, and under the supervision of the University Agency for Educational Affairs, and the ceremony was attended by university vice-rectors, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, directors of departments, and participants in the award from its various categories.
The ceremony began with a speech from the Acting Dean of Quality and Skills Development, Dr. Riyadh Al-Mishrafi, in which he reviewed the most prominent achievements of the Deanship for this year 1443 AH, as well as the criteria and procedures of the award, and indicated in his speech that the number of programs that have obtained accreditation is eight programs within the programs offered by the university, and that the application for 7 other programs has been completed and waiting for the accreditation decision, and work is currently underway on 8 other programs during the next year - God willing - within the framework of The Deanship to prepare programs to obtain academic accreditation, and maintain institutional accreditation, indicating during the presentation that the Deanship carried out the internal audit for this year for 25 programs, 26 departments, and 9 deanships, and the program of visiting the review team from the National Accreditation Center for Advanced Programs was simulated.
He also pointed out in his speech in addition to development and training, and that the Deanship has held many courses and workshops in several fields such as academic accreditation and its requirements, evaluation methods, and skills development for administrators and faculty members.
