Physicists Aim:

The aim of physicists is to discover the most fundamental principles of nature. Their tools are mathematics and experiments. The physical world as we perceive, it is very complex, yet the principles of Physics are inherently simple. A physicist's forte is the ability to analyze a problem, reduce its complexity, and arrive at an understanding of the underlying patterns of nature in terms of simple relationships among constituent elements. Learning to do this gives Physics majors an intellectual versatility that can serve them well in a variety of future activities ranging from research and teaching in Physics or related sciences to careers in law, the health professions, and high-technology companies. The physics research includes a wide range areas; scientific publications divided by year, whether research, conferences and seminars, written and translated books or scientific articles.

Physics Research Groups:

The Research in Physics department is organized in two laboratories:

The Members of MSG group carry out world-leading research in a wide range of areas, including:
Preparing and processing the following materials:
  • Glasses and ceramic, Polymers, Composites, Nanomaterials, Semiconductors, Biomaterials and Metals

Studying the thermal, electrical, optical, mechanical and morphological properties of the upper materials.

Solar cell materials and its energy applications.

Advanced materials

Members of NRG group carry out world-leading research in a wide range of areas, including:
Radiation detection and measurement.

Lifetime measurement of excited nuclear states.

Alpha decay studies

Structure of unstable nuclei.

Low energy heavy-ion reactions.

Properties of superheavy nuclei.

The Resources and supporting:

There are several Organizations supporting the Research such as:

King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is an independent scientific organization administratively reporting to the Prime Minister. KACST is both the Saudi Arabian national science agency and its   national laboratories. The science agency function involves science and technology policy making, data collection, funding of external research, and services such as  ...  More
