It has permanent centers serve faculty members, staff and students during work hours.Clinics and departments of the medical center are:Internal Clinic:Receives adults and elderly with health problems that do not require surgical intervention.Dental Clinic:Primary healthcare services are provided to patients including tooth filings, extractions, and emergency treatment. It also provides preventive services, and participates with primary health care team in providing health education particularly with practices of maintaining healthy teeth and gum. Cardiac Clinic:In this clinic, patients with heart disease of all ages are diagnosed and consultations are provided accordingly. The cardiac clinic has echocardiogram and cardiac stress devices.Laboratory:Sample are taken and stored in labs as recorded in medical reports using the recommended scientific methods. Also, Prepare each sample by following all medical and laboratory precautions precisely. All common tests of blood diseases, chemistry, urine and stool are available in the laboratory. Pharmacy:Provides essential drugs such as anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertension, diabetes drugs and others.Radiation:A digital x-ray device is available in a fully equipped room with a lead insulation to prevent radiation leaks.Medical record:For ease of retrieval, doctors are provided with accurate and quick medical record search service.Continuing medical education:This program targets doctors, technicians and administrators individually, and aims to:- Improve the efficiency and quality of those in the medical field which will be reflected on the services provided to patients.- Help them to maintain competence and learn about new and developing areas of their field by attending educational courses.• Mobile ClinicsThere are several objectives for establishing these clinics including, but not limited to, taking part in national events, supporting world health day, increasing the level of health awareness and discovering diseases and their treatments. For these objectives to be achieved, several programs are conducted as follow: Health education program:This program aims to increase health awareness and disseminate health education among people through presenting lectures, seminars and brochures which, in return, will contribute to the promotion of community health and the prevention of diseases.Early diseases detection programs:This program aims to diagnosis diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, breast cancer and other in accordance with world health organization.Environmental health program:This program aims to carry out a check-up process by the preventive medicine unit for water sources and how safe to be used as well as restaurants, particularly in villages. Visiting consultant program:This program aims to invite a consultant from collage of medicine in areas like internal, neurology, dermatology, pediatrics, and ophthalmology, psychiatry and family medicines.Medical research program:This program aims to conduct some medical research on target groups.Volunteer program:Registration for volunteer is open for the university staff to participate according to their disciplines.Awareness and advertising:It utilizes clinics' size for the dissemination of medical information.Home visit:Visiting patients in their houses.
