The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 advocates education, skills development, and knowledge enrichment among human resources to allow them to compete locally, regionally, and globally. Thus, the Vice-Dean's Office for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is responsible for supervising research activities among faculty members and students.
The Vice-Dean's Office coordinates with relevant bodies inside and outside the university to implement the college's strategic plan for scientific research and postgraduate studies and develop them following the university’s strategic plan. Its role includes but is not limited to achieving quality standards in scientific research and encouraging faculty members and graduate students to conduct research that meets the needs of the labor market and society and takes into account modern developments in scientific and practical aspects. This effort led to an increase in research activities at the college, and more papers were published in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals such as (ISI) and (Scopus).
The Vice-Dean's Office also supervises the progress of the educational process for graduate students in various programs. It also engages in the mechanism of recruiting and promoting faculty members. Part of its role is also to monitor the progress of scholarship candidates in cooperation with the college’s scientific departments.
Last, the Vice-Dean's Office also helps the college to engage in the local community by encouraging faculty members to hold activities, workshops, and courses for the local community.
