Advisory Board of the Department of Computer Science

Recognizing the significance of professional and community partnerships and their role in developing human resources capable of competing in the labor market, the Advisory Council for the Department of Computer Science has been established by a decree from the esteemed University Director. This council comprises a select group of professional leaders from the labor market, distinguished international academics, and representatives from the local community. The council aims to outline the strategic plan for the college and enhance the role of partnerships that contribute to elevating academic standards. The meeting of the council was held on Monday, June 3, 2024, chaired by Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulkarim Alhussen, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences.

Council Roles:

  • To provide proposals regarding all matters that serve the future vision of the Department of Computer Science.
  • To suggest ways to deepen the partnership between the Department of Computer Science and both the local and global communities.
  • To contribute to the development of programs and curricula in the Department of Computer Science in accordance with labor market requirements.
  • To propose initiatives that will provide both material and moral support to the department.
  • To assist in establishing a mechanism for coordinating joint projects between the Department of Computer Science and community sectors, aimed at providing comprehensive solutions to societal problems.
  • To suggest methods for securing funding sources for the department's developmental projects.
