Department of Arabic


Since it was opened in 1423/1424, the Department of Arabic has pioneered first-born ideas and meanings, and has had a resonance at the college and community levels. At the college level the department is considered a lifeline spring, as it feeds all other sections and their staff as well in teaching general courses. It also has led the college activities, as the College diverse activities over the successive years have been headed by the department staff.

As for social service, the department’s staff has had the upper hand in organizing forums aimed to link the college to its community and raise awareness among its members, as they have had the lead in starting the first women's forum held in the college. 


Vision

The Department’s vision is to prepare a staff of Saudi girls highly qualified in the Arabic language branches.  


Mission

The mission of the Department of Arabic is to spread and teach Arabic in its various branches and to have female graduates in education carrying a bachelor's degree in order to supply the region's schools.


Goals

To prepare a female staff that is qualified in the Arabic language and its various branches

  • To protect Arab patrimony from extinction at a time of inter-dependence between cultures in order to preserve the language of the holy Koran.
  •   To Improve Arabic pronunciation by using different teaching techniques and organizing supporting courses in this area.

To have future female graduates aware of the different aspects of the Arabic language by using teaching methods based on technology and enhancing their self-confidence in order to promote education and to support society.
