About the Department: the Department of Chemistry is one of the premier departments in the college. It was established with the college inception in 1422-1423 AH. It seeks to achieve self-sufficiency by forming highly-efficient graduate students and provide them with the necessary abilities, skills, attitudes and values through training them and preparing them academically and professionally to work in various fields, including teaching and scientific research in order to relate the environment to science and technological advancement throughout the use of techniques and methods in various fields, which in turn contributes to trigger the labor market and improve production at the local and regional levels. The Degree granted by the department is a (BA). Working fields: - the public sector including; the ministries, universities and various governmental sectors since they are all part of the civil service ministry. - The health sector: hospitals and health laboratories. Advanced research centers such as King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology. Laboratories of Pharmaceutical, food and medical industries. Various organizations such as the Food and Drug Administration and the Standards and Metrology Organization.
