The University has upgraded the transport fleet with new buses that meet the standard safety requirements.
The University transport system has made it easier for the students to use the service and its multiple icons, which provide information about the buses timetables and their movement.
Over the past nine years, the University has provided free transportation to all students in addition to the introduction of support programs and buses to people with special needs.
Moreover, the University enhanced transparency, follow-up and control of the movement of the fleet through the provision of devices enabling beneficiaries to acquire information about the trips and assess the services provided.
Additionally, a weather monitoring unit has been established to forecast extreme weather conditions before taking decisions of classes’ suspension for the safety of the students and staff members.
The University has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education to benefit from the services of the Safety Digital Unit and the Weather Conditions Tracking Unit.
The Vice-Rector Dr. Musallam Al-Dossari appreciated the rector’s support of the transportation services.
