Dr. Abdelrahman Al-Asmi, Deputy Minister of Education, has launched in his office the software of board of trustees for universities and private colleges which was developed by Majmaah University. The launch was attended by MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, Deputy Minister of Private Education, Dr. Sa’ad Al-Feheid, MU Vice-Rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, General Manager of Private Higher Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Jarallah and Dean of IT, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wanein.
Dr. Al-Asmi said that although the private education deputy office was founded recently, considerable progress was achieved in improving the quality of education at private universities and colleges. This achievement is attributed to unconditional support from the government of this nation.
The software, which was developed by IT Deanship at MU and the General Administration of e-Services at the ministry, aims to make the process of sending the minutes of board of trustees to the ministry faster and more confidential.
MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren, stated that the software of board of trustees which was developed fully by Saudi-citizen staff, is easy to use and has contributed substantially in quality assurance. Ranked as the first Saudi university and 6th among all government sectors does not mean that the university is the best but demonstrate the progress that the university made. The university is willing to collaborate with any national institution to improve the quality of work.
Dr. Khalid Al-Mudaibri, Vice-Dean of e-Learning Deanship, gave a presentation about the system and its features, from the moment a minute is generated by private colleges and universities until it is approved by the minister of education.
