DEANSHIP OF E-LEARNING PARTICIPATES IN THE 11TH SEMINAR HELD AT KING KHALID UNIVERSITY

In respond to the invitation made by the National Center for E-Learning and Distance Education to the Deanship of E-Learning & Distance Education at Majmaah University, the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren directed the university to participate in the 11th seminar held at King Khalid University. The delegation included the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari, the Deputy-Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Mudeirabi, Consultants: Dr. Hisham Al-Saqeer and Dr. Omar Al-Saidy & Head of Training Unit Mr. Faisal Al-Shemmari, Mr. Majed Al-Muteiry and Mr. Abdelaziz Al-Eysa.

Dr. Al-Dosari stated a number of topics were discussed in the meeting including: mechanisms of enhancing communications among deans of e-learning, discussing the obstacles encountered pertinent to curriculum designing, reviewing experiences for Saudi universities in the field of e-learning etc. Dr. Al-Dosari also noted that the deanship offered a number of specialized courses. Mr. Faisal Al-Shemmari conducted a course on the development of digital content. The efforts of the deanship in promoting the awareness and culture of e-learning among faculty members and students were admired by the participants in the seminar. Eventually, Dr. Al-Dosari and the delegation extended their thanks and appreciations to the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren for his support and constant follow up.
