MU RECTOR WELCOMES DIRECTOR OF GAFH AND LAUNCHES ENERGY SAVING CAMPAIGN

Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU Rector, welcomed in his office the Director General of the General Administration of Facilities and Housing, Mr. Baddah Al-Baddah and a number of staff in the presence of Vice-Rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari.
Dr. Al-Mugren reviewed a comprehensive report of the GAFH which includes the following:
- A report of the plan of not renewing the lease of rented buildings
- A report of the university properties and how to update them using the e-system.
- A report of activities for the academic year 1438/1439 AH
- A comprehensive report on the works carried out by the administration during the first half of 2018
- A report on the activities organized to commemorate the national day 88
- A report of the administration’s shift of work from paper to be electronic.
- An initiative proposed by a group of staff explaining the rotation of non-working heaters to be used for watering trees.
The Rector extended his thanks to the administration’s staff for their exceptional efforts to facilitate the process of work. As they were credited for their unfailing commitment to provide high quality of services by utilizing technology, the administration’s staff were encouraged by the Rector to repeat such a visit to keep him updated of the administration’s achievements.
At the end of the visit, the Rector launched an energy saving campaign for the university buildings. A detailed report was reviewed by the Rector for the first quarter of current year. All materials used in this campaign such as short films and brochures were also checked by the Rector who also advised them to double their efforts in increasing the degree of awareness by using advanced technology and social medial. All the university sectors must take part in this campaign due to the significance of rationalizing the use of energy.
