Breast cancer awareness exhibition activities held by the University under the slogan: "Do not ignore any Sign" came to an end yesterday.
The supervisor of the event, Mr. Faisal Al-Otaibi, Director of Public Relations at the University, said that the exhibition witnessed tremendous number of visitors.
Around 600 visitors attended the exhibition, 165 women were checked and 27 cases were transferred to King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah to complete the examination procedures.
Mr. Faisal Al-Otaibi pointed out that the University was willing to organize those awareness exhibitions aiming to educate the community about diseases and prevention.
The exhibition included a number of awareness booths, which included several publications, films and souvenirs for visitors, in addition to the presence of a few of specialists to provide consultations.
Mr. Al-Otaibi thanked the Vice-Rector for Female Student Affairs Dr. Jawahar Al-Omar, who launched the exhibition.
He also thanked the Public Relations and Media team for their good preparation and organization and the medical partner represented by the College of Medicine and Medical Services Department for their active participation in the exhibition.
He also thanked the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education for sponsoring the event.
