On Tuesday 14th Safar, 1440 AH, a workshop was conducted by the Department of Evaluation, Assessment and Excellence (DEAE) at the Vice-Rector’s Office for Educational Affairs with the theme “ Automating transactions of the Department of Evaluation, Assessment and Excellence: Aspirations and Challenges”.
The workshop which was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs and heads of unit began by an opening speech addressed by Dr. Al-Rumaih who emphasized the significance of harnessing the support of MU Rector, Dr. Al-Khalid Al-Mugren with regard to automating the procedures of evaluation and assessment to enhance the efficiency of work.
Supervisor of DEAE, Mr. Sami Al-Jack, outlined the vision of the Vice-Rector’s Office to maximize the efficiency of said units to achieve the university goals.
Discussions have taken place on suggestions related to evaluation and assessment at colleges and the potential of turning some of the initiatives proposed in the workshop into action.
Dr. Essam Al-Maliki, Supervisor of Vice-Rector’s Office for Educational Affairs, who chaired the workshop said that the workshop focused on addressing a number of topics related to evaluation and assessment, most notably, are the executive plans of evaluation and assessment units at colleges as well as the major obstacles that might be encountered.
