MU RECTOR CHAIRS COLLEGE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE’S ADVISORY BOARD

The College of Computer Science and Information’s advisory board was chaired by Majmaah University’s Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehri, Dean of Computer Science and Dr. Hani Al-Zeid, Vice-Rector for Graduate Research as well as the board members: Yamama University’s Rector, Prof. Hussam Ramadan, Dr. Hani Al-Zeid, Deputy-Director of National Center of Information Security at KACST and Advisor of Minister of Finance, Prof. Reda Ammar, Head of Computer Science and Engineering at Connecticut University, USA, Dr. Thamer Al-Hussein, Vice-Rector of Saudi Electronic University, Eng. Abdelrahman Al-Shetwi, CEO of Innovative Solutions Company and member of SFCSP and Eng. Yasser Al-Sweilem, Director General of Cyber Security at STC.
A number of topics were addressed in the meeting such as the future plan of the college for academic development.
MU Rector Dr. Al-Mugren began the meeting by highlighting the successive achievements of the university, on top of which the 7-year full institutional accreditation and King Abdulaziz’s award for quality. The College of Computer Science’s earning of ABET accreditation was also praised by Dr. Al-Mugren.
Dr. Al-Rumaih explicated the significance of this advisory board meeting for colleges and its role in developing the colleges to meeting the market needs.
Dr. Al-Shehri, Dean of the College, briefed the board members with an overview of the College and its achievements, programs offered at the undergraduate and postgraduate level and number students. He also gave a detailed explanation about the MA program in cyber security and digital evidences which is the first of its kind in civil services.
