The College of Computer Science and Information has organized a graduation ceremony for the second batch of technology camp students for information security in the presence of Majmaah University, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, Vice-Rectors, Deans and Directors.
The ceremony began by highlighting the objectives, expectations and outcomes of the camp including a detailed explanation of the various stages of planning the camp.
Extending his thanks to the Rector for patronizing the ceremony in a speech addressing the audience, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehri, Dean of CCSI, said that the College has strived since its establishment to provide a wide-range of excellent academic programs that qualify students to meet the needs of labor market. The idea of holding such tech camps came up in recognition of the significance of professional certification for students in information technology and in line with the Kingdom vision 2030.
Thirty students from level 9 and 10 have joined the camp and had received a 14-day training in two professional courses: ethical hacking course and digital forensics course.
MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren, expressed his gratitude with this achievement and said that knowledge is no longer sufficient to excel in labor market. Students, however, need to learn new skills to compete and to increase their chances of getting jobs.
