MU RECTOR PATRONIZES ANNUAL AWARD CEREMONY

Under the patronage of MU Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and in the presence of vice-rectors, deans and directors, the annual award ceremony was held to award winners in MU Rector Prize for Quality and Excellence, MU Rector Prize for Outstanding Sub-Websites and Faculty and Staff’s Websites and MU Prize for Excellent Annual Reports.
The ceremony began by a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a speech delivered by Dr. Mohammed Al-Aboudi who described the unfolding developments at MU is a response to the rapid changes imposed by higher education sector. With that in mind, MU strives to improve the performance of its various departments and units to consolidate a sense of rivalry among the staff, an act that will have a positive impact on the overall performance of MU. Dr. Al-Aboudi concluded his statement by highlighting the important procedures and standards adopted in the prize.
Dr. Abdelaziz Al-Rushoud, Advisor and Supervisor of MU Rector’s Office, talked about the prize of Outstanding Sub-Websites and Faculty and Staff’s Websites, stressing that this year rivalry is exceptional as many departments have participated in the competition. The criteria used to evaluate the websites were highlighted by Dr. Al-Rushoud, which are in compliance with the standards required by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology and the e-Government Program ‘Yasser’.
Addressing the audience about the Prize for Excellent Annual Reports, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Vice-Rector, indicated that the final outcome of the University annual reports is vital. Coupled with the concern and support of MU Rector, this prize was dedicated for this purpose. Prof. Al-Dosari said “ the prize of this year has seen a remarkable interaction from all departments”.
MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, delivered a speech congratulating the university staff the recent remarkable achievements which are a result of institutional concerted efforts of all staff at MU. Thanks and appreciations were extended to organizers and evaluators of these awards.
