MU RECTOR ATTENDS FIRST COORDINATING MEETING OF UNIVERSITIES ENDOWMENT OFFICIALS

The General Authority of Endowments (GAE) held the first coordinating meeting of universities endowments secretaries in the presence of Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU Rector, Mr. Emad Al-Kharashi, Official at the GAE, Prof. Abdelaziz Al-Hamed, Rector of Prince Sattam University, Dr. Hamad Al-Omran, Dean of King Salman Institute for Studies and Advisory Services.
The aim of the meeting is to enhance the cooperation between all parties to contribute in the overall development of endowment sector. As well as the vital role of endowment sector to serve the community, a number of programs and initiatives were proposed to ensure it can be financially self-sustained. Successful models using the best international practices in the field of endowment were shared. Moreover, all possible cooperation between the GAE and endowments at universities were discussed along with the latter role to improve the non-profit sector via specialized scientific research.
