Under the patronage of MU Rector Dr. Khaled Al-Muqrin, the University, represented by the Investment Fund, has launched the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the University Hotel project in the dormitories in Majmaah.
At the beginning of the ceremony held at the project site, MU Rector listened to the speech of the Director of the Investment Fund at the university, who welcomed the audience and noted the words of MU Rector, promoting competition and progress in science and its various fields, including investment in the Kingdom, which aims at diversifying innovative sources of funding, improving the efficiency of the education sector, and providing community services. The Rector stressed that investing in Majmaah University contributes effectively to the development of the University's extra-budgetary resources according to a strategic plan that required coordination among its investment sectors.
Dr. Al-Omran also addressed the current and future investment projects.
Eng. Majid Al-Ali, from the General Directorate of Projects presented a summary of the components of the project, which is a hotel consisting of three adjacent buildings. Each building consists of four floors and a total area of 13230 m2, 540 m2 for one floor, and a capacity of 80 rooms, in addition to the service rooms inside the building.
Then MU Rector delivered a speech expressing delight on this occasion, which is an indication of the integration and coordination between departments, sectors and units on campus, stressing that this project conforms to the 2030 vision of the Kingdom, which highlights investment and diversity of sources. MU Rector also expressed his pleasure that the university has become a role model in academia and community service.
MU Rector thanked all those who participated in the project before laying the foundation stone on site.
