MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, launched an anti-smoking clinic at the main campus of MU. The launch was in the presence of the Vice-Rector for Education Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, deans and representatives of King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah.
The anti-smoking clinic, which is part of a series of clinics established in Riyadh under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, is operated by the Medical Services Department at MU.
The Dean of College of Medicine and Supervisor of Medical Services Department, Dr. Khalid Al-Abdelwahhab, said, starting from today, students, staff and faculty members can avail themselves of the services provided by the clinic which will be permanent for one academic year.
The primary aim of the collaboration with the Ministry of Health is to provide the best preventive and curative services to a large segment of people who are strongly determined to quit smoking.
Dr. Al-Abdelwahhab extended his thanks to MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih for their unlimited support and follow-up.
