Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU Rector, welcomed in office the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Khalid Al-Abdelwahhab, the Head of Urology Department, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Mutairi and Dr. Mohammed Al-Khamis, in recognition of their efforts to perform the first surgery of nerve graft of the lower trunk at King Khalid Hospital for a patient who was unable to urinate and had a urinary retention. A kidney stone fragmentation surgery was also performed to the patient using flexible laparoscopic and laser.
According to the latest medical research, flexible laparoscopic and laser have minimal complications, and they are available only in referral hospitals and MU to all citizens.
MU Rector, who expressed his gratitude with this achievement, said these services provided by MU to community is among its top priorities. He extended his thanks to the medical team for their efforts to perform this successfully.
Dr. Al-Abdelwahhab thanked MU Rector for his unlimited support to make the university among the top successful universities. He commended the cooperation between MU and King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah.
