The Vice-Rector’s Office for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research organized a seminar entitled “facts and all the latest about new corona virus disease 2020” to educate the university staff, faculty members and students about the best protective measures against the new corona virus disease.
The seminar was presented by a number of experts in the medical field such as Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Dukhail, Dr. Bader Al-Shehri, Dr. Wael Al-Turaiqi and Dr. Raed Al-Baradi.
A comprehensive overview was presented about the history of corona virus, how it spreads and the best protective measures against the disease, genetic characteristics and latest statistics of infected people.
A number of recommendations were made at the end of the seminar, most importantly are the necessity of looking for information from credible sources, the commendable role played by the Ministry of Health in spreading awareness about the disease and such seminars should also be held at the university housing.
Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaya’a, the Vice-Rector, said that one of the university’s top priority is increase the university staff awareness about the protective measures against the disease and epidemic. He thanked MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren for supporting all the university’s activities and scientific initiatives organized by the Vice-Rector’s Office to achieve the university’s objectives.
