The Astronomical Observatory (AO) in Hawtet Sedeir- representing Majmaah University-is preparing for observe the crescent of Zul Qa’adah crescent according to Uml Al-Quran calendar 1441 AH.
The AO will also observe the solar eclipse on Sunday Morning 21st June, 2010.
According to the AO statement, the natural phenomenon will be visible in the kingdom cities, and the prayers will be held 30 minutes after the beginning of the eclipse.
The AO also warned against exposing eyes to the sun without proper eye protection.
