Dr. Ahmed al-Rumaih, the vice-rector for Educational Affairs, chaired the first session of the Deanship of Quality for this year which aimed to discuss to what extent the university programs are ready for the visit of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA).
Preparations are underway to receive evaluation teams for five programs: electrical engineering, civil engineering, medicine and surgery, dentistry and physiotherapy.
In the presence of the committee members and concerned deans of colleges, a number of recommendations were made, most notably, is to direct both the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development (DQSD) to mobilize its resources in supporting these programs and the colleges to prepare for the simulation visits under the supervision of the DQSD.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. al-Rumaih extended his thanks to the working team of the DQSD as well as the dean for their efforts over the last period, motivating them to work harder in order to obtain accreditation for all the university programs by 2030.
