On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, Chairman of the university board, the 1st meeting of the academic year 1435/1436 was chaired by His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren in the conference hall in his office. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the university vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships. The university vice-rector for higher studies and academic research and the general secretary dr. Mohammad al-Shaya’a stated that His Excellency the Rector Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren inaugurated the meeting by expressing condolence to the vice-rector, Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari for his father’s death. The members also congratulated Dr. Bandar A. Al-Yahya for joining the board and the appointment as the dean of College of Science and Humanities in Remah. Thanks and appreciations were also extended to Dr. Musharraf for his efforts during his tenure. Dr. Al-Mugren valued the support received from the government of this country and encouraged all the members to double their efforts and to exploit the supports from the government in the most effective manner. The board has also discussed the issue of recruiting a number of lecturers in a number of fields. The board has also reviewed the final report of scholarship and training committee for the academic year 1434/1435 and praised the efforts exerted to help students. The board has also approved the participation of one of the lecturers in a scientific experiment in the field of nuclear physics to be conducted in Japan and will include a number of well-renowned researchers. A number of administrative issues were endorsed by the board with regard to the university employees
