On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Abdullah Al-Sabti, Chairman of the university board, the 1st meeting of the academic year 1435/1436 was chaired by His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren in the conference hall in his office. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the university vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships. The university vice-rector for higher studies and academic research and the general secretary dr. Mohammad al-Shaya’a stated that His Excellency the Rector Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren inaugurated the meeting by extending thanks and appreciations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and His Crown Prince for appointing a number of new ministers. Congratulations were also expressed to His Excellency the new minister of higher education, Dr. Khalid Abdullah Al-Sabti. The board also extended thanks to the former minister, Dr. Khalid Al-Angari for his invaluable efforts in the higher education field. The visit of the governor of Majmaah region, His Royal Highness Prince Abdelrahman Faisal Al-Saud to the university was appreciated by His Excellency the Rector who also commended the collaboration memo that was signed. The board also made a reference to the programs executed by the university as a part of the national campaign to enhance the national values among citizens. In the board meeting, the achievement made by the college of applied medical science in obtaining the academic accreditation in one of its program from (ABET) was also noted and appreciated. Among the achievement made by the university during the last period was the launched of Integrity Friends Club and the Correspondence Track System. The board has also discussed the issue of recruiting a number of lecturers in a number of fields. The board has also reviewed the final report of scholarship and training committee for the academic year 1435/1436 and praised the efforts exerted to help students. An approval was also issued with regard some administrative and academic matters.
