His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren launched the astronomical observatory at the university. the launch was attended by the director of Hawtat Sudair, Mr. Fahad S. Al-Zakri and a huge number of the university staffs headed by the vices-rector and deans of colleges and deanships.
The dean of science and humanities college, Dr. Tariq Al-Bahlal mentioned that the purpose of this astronomical observatory are to enhance the scientific research in the astronomical field, to observe astronomical phenomena such as eclipse and shooting stars etc., and to promote the astronomical culture in society.
The university Rector stated to media his gratitude with this accomplishment which reflects the extent to which the university has developed with the participation of experts from King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology and renowned universities in this field.
