Commission of Scholarship and Training held its eleventh and twelfth meeting for the academic year 1435/1436 H, dated 04/02/1436 H, and the thirteenth meeting dated 17/02/1436 H, headed by Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Shayae, Vice Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, as well as members of the Committee. Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Shayae stated that a number of twenty topics on the agenda of the Commission regarding scholarship, extension and promotion of a number of postgraduate university students have been discussed. Therefore, the Committee has recommended a number of recommendations, including the approval on granting the teaching assistant, Saad bin Metaeb Al Shameri, a scholarship to study English Language at the University of Southampton in UK, and the approval on granting the lecturer, Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Attram, a scholarship to study English Language at the University of Brunel in Britain, and the approval on granting the teaching assistant, Shayae bin Abdullah Al Mesaer , a scholarship to study English Language at the University of San Diego in USA, and the approval on granting the lecturer, Fahd bin Suliman Al Issa, a scholarship to study English Language at the University of San Diego in USA. Also, the Committee has recommended the approval on the extension of the scholarship for the student Wael bin Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, to finalize the requirements of graduation in the master stage at the University of Queensland in Australia, as well as the approval on promoting the scholarship for the student Mohammad bin Suliman Al Nissan, from the English Language stage to a Doctor of Philosophy degree in law at the University of Willamette in the United States of America, in addition to the approval on the annual training plan for the employees of the university of technicians and administrators and submit that to the Board of the University, which has been prepared by the General Directorate of Planning and Administrative Development. Hence, His Excellency the Vice Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research has pointed out the importance of continuing education to keep pace with excellence approach that the university is adopting to double the efforts and speed the completion of the procedures of male and female university students who are on scholarship to achieve the desired benefit.
