As part of preparing the University second strategic plan 2015-2020, and under the auspices of His Highness the Rector, and under the supervision of the Strategic Plan High Committee, the University Reality Diagnosis Team organized a workshop entitled "Quadruple Analysis of the Current Situation of the University". At first, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Al Rukban, Chairman of the Strategic Plan High Committee, explained the stages of preparing the University Strategic Plan and the tasks of the sub-teams of the Reality Diagnosis team. Then, His Excellency the Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Musallam Al Dosari reviewed the qualitative achievements of the University, where he discussed what has been achieved so far. After that, His Excellency Dr. Saad Al Qahtani reviewed the role of the Reality Diagnosis Team, where he talked about the current stage of reality diagnosis among the stages of the preparation of the plan. In this context, Dr. Adnan Kotayet, the team rapporteur, reviewed the dimensions, stages and methodology of the quadruple strategic analysis. Next, Dr. Abdullah Al Harbi discussed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges with the attending University leaders, and after some brainstorming they divided the University deans and leaders among a number of groups. Moreover, an arbitration form for the elements of the quadruple analysis was prepared in accordance with the leadership views in order to achieve a sound analysis of the current situation. At the end of the workshop, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Al Rukban expressed his thanks and gratitude to all deans and leaders for their attendance and ample interaction, which provided ideas and views that facilitated the preparation of the strategic plan within sound and realistic bases.
