The Medical Service Department at Majmaah University launched a blood donation campaign for pilgrims in collaboration with the blood bank at King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah and under instructions from the university rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin. Dean of the faculty of Medicine Dr. Khalid Abdul Wahab led the campaign which was also followed up by Dr. Rayan Ghazi. The campaign has been conducted at the Car park of Red Tag in Majmaah for 3 days. It started on Tuesday 24/11/1436 H. and ended on Thursday 24/11/1436 H. Dr. Asr Al-Sherman, the Medical Director of the Medical Service Department, initiated the campaign in the presence of the director of Laboratory Department of Riyadh Medical Service Administration Mr. Khalid Al-Mutalib, the coordinator of Blood Banks in Riyadh Mr. Muhsen Al-Otibi and the head of Faiseli Club, Mr. Fahad Al-Medlij. “Participation in this campaign was great during the three days. The campaign comes in preparation for Hajj and the Adha Vacation as well as for support of Blood Banks in Mecca.” Dr. Barakty said. Brochures about blood donation and its benefits to individuals and society were distributed. Al-Faiseli and Al-Faiha teams participated in the event. Some team players donated blood and thanked the university rector for undertaking these useful campaigns.
