Majmaah University has participated in a workshop held at the Ministry of Education in Riyadh for updating the plan of higher education (Afaq).
The University participating delegation consisted of Dr. Saad Al-Qahtani- the Supervisor of strategic planning Department at the University and the Executive Director of the University Plan along with Mr. Sultan Al-Dabbas, Head of the Planning Team and member of the Afaq Team at the University.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Aohali- Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs and Director of the Executive Commission of the Higher Education Plan- opened the workshop by welcoming the attendants. Then he highlighted the significance of updating the plan as well as the challenges facing the university education in the kingdom.
He also talked about the work strategy of Afaq team concerning the update of the strategic plan in order to reach a resolution and recommendation serving the goals of the scheme. This service can be accomplished through the diagnosis of the challenges and making recommendations, then designing programs that can be accomplished with performance indicators.
Subsequently, a presentation of essential information and statistics in accordance with measurement indicators was shown, and then the attendants discussed during the workshop the major contemporary challenges that can improve the institutional management of the education system.
At the end of the workshop, there was a recommendation concerning the presentation of the challenges mentioned above and the proposed solutions to the officials of Majmaah University.
