The convocation of MU 7th batch for the academic year 1436-1437 was celebrated at the auditorium of main campus. The graduation celebration was patronized by Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar, in the presence of Majmaah Gov. Prince Abdelrahman Al-Saud, Ghat Gov. Mr. Abdullah Al-Sudairi, Gwaieyya Gov. Mr. Abdullah Al-Rabia and a number of prominent figures.
Prince Faisal commenced the ceremony by launching a number of projects including: the faculty members residential buildings (1st and 2nd phase), the university administration and deanship building, the building of applied medial college, the main campus including the location and electricity station and water wells desalination and sewage treatment.
Addressing the graduates, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih said a number of (2683) students at the graduate level from various majors will graduate on this occasion. Dr. Al-Rumaih MU is keen to provide high-quality services to all students from the early stage of admission to the final one of receiving graduation documents.
MU Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren thanked Prince Faisal bin Bandar for patronizing the ceremony to mark the passing out of the university’s seventh batch of graduates. This shows the royal highness’ desire to share the happiness of the graduates and their parents, he added. Dr. Al-Mugren praised the efforts of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in ensuring continued and sustainable internal development. He also praised Education Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Eissa, for the major he has played in the university’s success.
“ in this occasion, appreciations are all due to Allah and the leaders of this nation who always spare no effort to provide all kinds of help to citizens. We are all indebted to this nation which is badly in need of our sacrifice particularly in these days. I am conveying King Salman’s regards to you who asked me express his sincere wishes to all of you” Prince Faisal said.
The ceremony was concluded by awarding a certificate of appreciations to graduate students. On the other hand, a memorial gift was presented to Prince Faisal on this occasion which was covered by renowned newspapers and TV channels.
