His Highness the Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren launched in his office the 3rd version of the e-portal with the presence of the university vice-rectors, deans of colleges and deanships. The ceremony was started with a speech delivered by the Dean of IT, Dr. Omer Al-Mutaihi where he explained the developmental stages for the e-portal. The current version is regarded as an integrated e-portal that matches with the international standards. The e-portal has sub-sites for all the departments and deanships with a total number of 35 portals. He also elaborated the phases by which the e-portal has been developed which started by posting a survey on the e-portal which enabled everyone to participate in the new design and development. The survey which included 41 questions was answered by 603 participants. As a result, the developmental stage started by 13 amendments and 16 developments with the follow up of His Highness the Rector. After that, a presentation was shown about the previous and current e-portal. Then, His Highness launched the new e-portal followed by a speech for His Highness on this occasion where he praised the efforts exerted by IT Deanship and the commendable job they did, albeit it was newly established. His Highness also stressed the importance of working as a team to achieve the aspirations and expectations of the leadership. He also mentioned that every unit in this university either a department, college or deanship achieve a success. His Highness also emphasized on taking care of all employees regardless their qualifications. The ceremony was concluded by Q&A session.
