A scientific forum was held collaboratively between Sheikh Abdullah Al-Twaijri’s Chair for Applied Research of Stroke and College of Medicine at King Saud University as well as a number of Saudi medical associations. The forum titled “World Day of Stroke” took place at King Saud University focused on promoting awareness of stroke in Saudi Arabia and the best possible treatment.
In a rhetorical ceremony, Dr. Raed Al-Bara’adi, supervisor of the Chair, delivered a speech where he briefed the audience with the aim and vision of the chair. Over the past three years, 11 accredited workshops were conducted and 18 research papers were published in renowned journals in the field of medicine, added Dr. Al-Bara’adi. Two patents were also registered which won prizes locally and internationally, he said. Dr. Al-Bara’adi made a reference to the books authored by the Chair and printed by popular publishers.
Four different sessions were presented by various experts in different aspects related to stroke. By the end of the forum, Dr. Al-Bara’adi expressed his appreciations to all who contributed in making this event successful.
