The College of Science and Humanities launched a campaign under the theme (University without Accidents) in cooperation with the Salik Traffic Awareness Club at the University.
The Vice-Rector cut the ribbon in the presence of the Vice-Dean of the College of Science and Humanities, Dr. Omar Al-Omar, the Supervisor of the Department of Services, Mr. Meteib Al-Maimouni, and the participating directors of government agencies in Al-Ghat province. Dr. Mosallam Al-Dousari- MU Vice-Rector- listened to presentations from representatives of the departments of security, health and education in Al-Ghat province.Moreover, the Dean of Al-Ghat College explained the objectives of this initiative, which mainly target the students.Then, the Director of the Traffic Department in Ghat delivered a speech on this occasion. He praised the campaign and the University efforts in cooperating with the Department to cut down on traffic accidents, pointing out the statistics related to deaths by traffic accidents before and after the Campaign. The Vice- Rector appreciated the college efforts in partnering with the Salik Club to activate the University program. Dr. Al-Dousari also pointed out the launching of several other activities related to this campaign at various branches of the University, where the bus drivers were trained on dealing with emergencies, in addition to raising awareness through the billboards in the provinces, and the participation of the club via Snap Chat videos targeting the students at the dorms and in sports venues, pointing out that the viewers have exceeded a quarter million.He also stressed that the University is keen to ensure that the results of this campaign are tangible.Then he awarded the Best Design Award to the students of the college participating in the initiative, and memorial shields to other participants.At the end of the event, everyone signed the "University without Accidents" Charter, which emphasizes commitment to traffic regulations.
