A number of MSA graduate students at the University made a new achievement by having their research papers accepted by the 31st Conference of the Federation of Business and Hospitals, which will take place from 18-20 April 2018 in Chicago, (2018 MBAA International Conference: April 18-20, 2018).
The paper entitled “The Safety Practices of Health Care Workers in a Selected Hospital in Saudi Arabia” prepared by students: Faisal Mohammed Al-Shammari, Ali Abdulrahman Al-Trad and Nasser Musleh Al-Gharabi was accepted at the Conference along with 2 other papers i.e. “The Perceived Competency of Home Health Care Professionals in Selected Hospitals in Saudi Arabia” by Students: Faisal Hawas Al-Shammari, Abdullah Mohammed Al-Shihri, Saud Hammas Al-Dalabi, Faisal Khaled Al-Bassam and Nasser Rashid Al-Safi, in addition to the third paper titled “Risk Factors of Sickness Absence in a Selected Hospital in Saudi Arabia by students: Nayef Sultan Al Mutairi and Mohammed Samir Al Mutairi.
MBAA International is one of the leading long-term conferences in the United States. It started in Chicago in 1965 and has been held annually for almost 50 years ever since offering and receiving a range of useful and diverse research papers, in addition to bringing together leaders from all around the world in all disciplines in public and private institutions, non-profit organizations as well as the business community.
The conference includes 12 business organizations: the Business Economics Academy, the Financial Academy, the Middle East International Business Academy, the Business and Health Association, the Business and Government Association, the Marketing Management Association, the Midwest Academy of Business and Legal Studies, the North American Society of Accounting, North America Management, Association of Operations Management Entrepreneurship, Association of Case Studies, and the Society of Advancement of Information Systems.
Dr. Saad Al-Falih, the Dean of the College, congratulated the students and their supervisor, Dr. Majid Al-Amari, the Executive Supervisor of the Master’s Program in Health Services and Hospitals, for his outstanding efforts in promoting the culture of scientific research on campus and his continuous follow-up, reflecting the College’s interest in research, which represents one of the duties of the faculty member towards enriching the departments with research to serve the community and contribute to the development process.
Dr. Al Falih stressed that supporting research comes from the belief of the College of Business Administration in the importance of scientific research in the development of societies and in keeping pace with modern and societal developments in order to achieve the Kingdom Vision of 2030.
The College endeavors to promote the scientific research culture by contributing to scientific mobility at the local, regional and international levels, serve the local community and sustainable development.
