Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU rector, patronized a signing ceremony which aim to establish a center for medical rehabilitation and artificial limbs. Mr. Faisal Al-Hanti, represented Al-Enayah Medics Company in signing the contract with Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, who was the university representative.
The ceremony began by a speech delivered by Dr. Fahad Al-Dufairi, dean of Applied Medical Science College, who made a reference to a claim made by UN that handicapped people account for approximately 15% of the total population for any country in the world. He added that the absence of renowned research centers in Saudi Arabia specialized in artificial limbs and rehabilitation technology has contributed in forming the idea of establishing this center at Majmaah University. Highlighting the future plans and partnership with experts, Dr. Al-Dafiri stated that an agreement has been reached with Al-Enayah Medics to offer a train course for students and faculty members on physiotherapy and artificial limbs. The audience watched a presentation about the objective and future prospect of the project. Representative of the Al-Enayah Medics, Mr. Hanti, has also addressed a speech that focused on the objectives and vision of the company which are basically to meet the need of patients in Saudi Arabia using the best technological practices in physiotherapy and artificial limbs. Speaking of the joint effort with MU, Mr. Hanti explained that MU is one of the promising universities with a comprehensive vision that is compatible with the Kingdom vision 2030. Addressing the audience, Dr. Al-Mugren expressed his gratitude with this partnership which contribute to the development of health sector.
