A delegation from the Center for Archiving and Records attended the International Conference on Archives: "Archives in the Digital Age," organized by the National Center for Archiving and Records in Riyadh. The event was attended by the Secretary-General of the International Council on Archives and a number of directors of archives from Arab and foreign countries.
This conference aimed to shed light on the current state of archives and documents in the digital age, explore how modern technological advancements can contribute to the field of archives, and discuss the opportunities and challenges in this domain. The goal is to enable the digital transformation of archives in government institutions effectively.
The delegation attended the opening ceremony and sessions of the conference and held several meetings with officials from the National Center for Archiving and Records, as well as representatives from government archives centers. These meetings provided an opportunity to learn about experiences and the best practices, and to discuss challenges in electronic archiving systems and document and records management.
