Awareness Campaign (Communication Forms Our Society)
Following the activities of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the College of Education in Zulfi, the unit launched an awareness campaign entitled "Communication Forms Our Society” from 20 to 29 / 7/1438 under the support of the Dean of the College Dr. Rasheed Al-Thunayyan and follow up of the Unit Director, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Al-Eliwi. The campaign sought to consolidate dialogue in society and promote harmony among community members, especially students in different stages of education in schools and university, by emphasizing the values of moderation to create a sound intellectual system in addition to the positive use of their energies. The campaign included six events; The first day included the opening of the Awareness Exhibition associated with the campaign in the presence of the leaders of the College of Education in Zulfi: the Dean of the College Dr. Rasheed Al-Thunayyan, vice-deans, heads of departments, members of the faculty, the Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the office of the Rector Dr. Yousef Al-Mahous, Vice-dean of the College of Education for Academic affairs in Majmaah Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Tawala along with the deputy head of Bir Charity in the province. The second day was on Tuesday 21/7/1438. The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and member of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the University Dr. Mona Al-Foza gave a speech on "The Establishment of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the University" with the approval of the University Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, which reflected the University willingness to promote intellectual and psychological fortification of students against intellectual and ideological deviations. Then Dr. Mona Tawakul, Coordinator of the campaign, explained its importance, its objectives, and the ways to achieve positive communication with all members of society, with a focus on the values of coexistence and tolerance. She then talked about the dialogue, its meaning, limitation and values as well as the significance of adhering to it in order to maintain the minds of society members and protect their ideas from extremism and deviation. The fourth day, on Monday, 27/7/1438, was attended by the staff of the Association of Women (female employees-orphans), where the director of the women's section Najla Al-Saif received the members of the campaign's executive team and thanked them. The fifth day on Tuesday 28/7/1438 targeted the staff and students of general Education in Zulfi where the Assistant Director of Education, Ms. Nora Al-Fahad opened the event, which was attended by a delegation of educational leaders and about 70 teachers and school leaders. The participants praised the idea of the campaign, its importance and its goal. An invitation was also made to activate the community partnership by repeating the campaign and including a larger number of beneficiaries. On the sixth and last day, Wednesday 29/7/1438, The Director of the Women's Branch Ms. Mona al-Birjis, visited the headquarters of Bir Charity, where she received the members of the Executive Team of the campaign in the presence of a number of the Charity staff (Female Employees - Women of Productive Families - Orphans). About 1000 people benefited from the campaign.
