The College of Education at Al Zulfi Organizes a Training Session on the Intellectual Property Rights
The center of Innovation at the University organized on Monday the 30th of November 2015, and in collaboration with King Abdul Aziz city for Science and Technology, a lecture on intellectual property. The lecture was prepared and presented by Professor Badriyah Al Omari. Among the most highlighted themes in the lecture were: The history of Intellectual property, the importance of protecting the rights of intellectual property, patent protection in the Saudi Arabian offices, the topics that may not be considered as innovations, how to prepare a patent application, the conditions for grating a patent of invention, the rights of a patent owner as well as the services of preliminary research and how to apply on the portal of the Saudi Arabian Patent Office. The session has received a large number of female students, approximately 100, which left a very positive impact on the event
