THE CULTURE OF QUALITY WEEK IN THE ARABIC DEPARTMENT
The Culture of Quality Week events in the Arabic Department (female section), were held under the auspices of the Department Head, Dr. Fahed bin Saleh Al Melhem, and the supervision of the Department Coordinator, Dr. Abeer Abdulsadiq, and the Quality Committee Coordinator, Dr. Nawal Al Dasoki. In collaboration with the Quality Center, the Quality Committee in the Arabic Department held the Culture of Quality Week events. Several faculty members, staff members and students participated in the event; which aimed to introduce the concept of quality and its standards to the participants. Furthermore, the events of the week were as follows: the first day included two training sessions. Dr. Abeer Abdulsadiq presented the first session titled (Quality Standards of Arabic Department Academic Courses), and the second session was presented by Mrs. Aida Al Saqiani, titled (Community Service Programs). The second day also included two sessions that targeted students. The first one was presented by Dr. Fawzia Al Maghribi, and it was titled (About Academic Advising). Dr. Dalia Abdulbaqi presented the second session titled (Student Activities: Their Importance and Benefits). On the third day Dr. Tharwat Tawalbeh presented a session for students titled (The University Book). After that, a second session titled (The Role of Guidance and Counseling programs in Building the Students’ Personalities) was presented by Mrs. Nawal Al Fahham. The fourth day included two training sessions that targeted faculty members, and one session that targeted students. The first one, titled (Consistency Forms and their Role in Assessing Learning Outcomes), was presented by Dr. Nawal Al Dasoki. Dr. Hajer Al Bashir presented the second session, which was titled (Learning Programs Based on Problem-Solving). The third session, titled (Rights of Arabic Department Alumni), was presented by Mrs. Huda Al Awad. The events of the week also included an exhibition, which was organized by the Quality Committee at the department for the purpose of introducing the concept of quality and its standards .
