The International Day for Fighting Violence against Woman
Faculty of Education in Alzulfi conducted a seminar entitled “The International Day for Fighting Violence against women” on Thursday 23/4/1436 with participation of Dr. Khawater Mousa, Dr. Sarah Mubarak and Dr. Tahani Alqasim in the presence of a number of teaching staff, administrative staff, clerks and students. Dr. Khawater Mousa spoke on the Islam view on woman and how Islam honors woman and preserves woman’s rights. Then, Dr. Sarah Mubarak spoke on violence against women, violence types and forms against women within the family relationship, how sociology divides violence, family violence is regarded the most dangerous types. In fact, researchers mention that it is self-destruction. Dr. Tahani Alqasim delivered a speech on the protection system against harm and she defined what harm means and what is the purpose of this system. This was specified in several axes: providing help and treatment, protection, care and guarantee that protection will be provided against harm of all forms.
