Sponsored by Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Unit of Students’ Support in Female Department in collaboration with Department of Islamic Studies organized a workshop on ‘Skills and Tasks of Academic Counselling’ for faculty members.
This comes as a part of activating the program of academic counselling week, and to ensure the role of academic advisor in the success of educational process.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Asma Mahmoud mahamdy, Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies, and focused on a number of aspects such as: Skills, tasks, and objectives of academic advisor, as well as the role of academic advisor in the educational process. The importance of showing concern on students who are the central of educational process, and supporting them in solving problems that hinder academic progress; to achieve educational and career goals were also one of the aspects discussed in the workshop.
