Visit to the Secondary School of Riyadh
Based on the cooperation between the College of Education of Zulfi and other governmental institutions to serve the community and enhance the educational process and in collaboration with the Department of Education, the College organized students visits to secondary schools. The objective was to introduce the college and its departments so that the students can get an idea about the scientific disciplines that suit their interests, abilities and aptitudes. The other objective was to help the students build their educational and professional future on scientific bases.
The first visit was from the Secondary School of Riyadh to the college complex on 12/06/1934 (MP). It was attended by his Excellency the Vice Chancellor Pr. Jabr bin Dhouihi Alfaham, the head of the department of Islamic Studies his Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmad Alaliwi, the head of English department his Excellency Pr. Sami bin Mohammed Alzaarir, the director of the Unit of Relations and College Media Pr. Ibrahim bin Abdullah Almansour and the faculty members.
The meeting started with a recitation of some verses of the Holy Quran by the student Mohammed Alhamin. Then, the director of the Unit of Relations and College Media Pr. Ibrahim bin Abdullah Almansour welcomed the secondary school students. The Vice Chancellor of Educational affairs Pr. Jabr bin Dhouihi also thanked the students for their attendance and talked about the departments available in the college city. He stated that the College of Education had nine departments for female students and two departments for male students which are the department of Islamic studies and the department of English. He also talked about the emergence of the college and reported that the demands for those who want to study in the college should be through the web portal. The same applies for the choice of the subjects the students want to study and those they want to delete as well as the date of admission in the departments.
The head of the department of the Islamic Studies Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmad Alaliwi talked about the emergence of the department for female students in 1419 HJ. The Department of Islamic Studies for male students coincided with the emergence of other departments for male students in 1432 (MP). It is one of the largest departments in the college with more than 1000 male and female students. He mentioned the number of hours taught in the department and the number of assistant teachers and lecturers who were about 38. He then stated that the department of Quran and its Sciences inaugurated its Master degree and another department for the Fiqh and its assets will be opened very soon.
The head of the English Department Pr. Sami bin Mohammed Alzaarir talked about the emergence of the English department. He stated that it was one of the important departments in the College. He talked about the study plan and the number of hours taught. He also talked about the development of the department through the use of new and sequential curricula and about the English language labs as well.
Towards the end of the tour, the students were informed about the teaching methods in the college using the smart board and the labs of the English language
