On Wednesday 08/04/2015 at 6:00 pm, the astronomical observatory received a delegation of Peace Scout leaders, Messengers of Peace, from Asser Region. Director of Astronomical Observatory Department Mr. Abdullah Aba Hussein and Public Relations Officer Mr. Ahmad Al-Ghayama welcomed the visiting delegation. Deputy-head of Saudi Scout Association Dr. Abdullah Sulieman Al-Fahad was present at the reception. Students toured the Astronomical Exhibition Facility before listening to explanations of astronomical telescopes, solar group, moon phases, nebulae, and galaxies by Dr. Sabri Ali and Mr. Abdullah Al-Khediri. The delegation then visited the Planetarium where they watched the distribution and movement of stars along with visual illustration of planets and star groups in the observatory sky inside the Planetarium. The visitors expressed their admiration for the observatory together with their appreciation for the good hearty reception and hospitality.
