The Astronomical Observatory received on Monday and Tuesday 11-12 / 5/1436 AH corresponding to 2-3 / 3/2015 AD a number of students from AL Attar elementary school and Prince Muqrin Sultan bin Abdulaziz high school in Hotat Al Sudair, and a number of students from the Department of Mathematics, and Bridging Program students at the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities in Hotat Al Sudair. The students were met and welcomed by the experts and employees of the Astronomical Observatory. At the beginning of the visit, the Director of the Observatory administration, Mr. Abdullah Aba Hussein, and the public relations officer of the Observatory Mr. Ahmed Al gheiamneh warmly greeted and welcomed the visitors. Then the tour began inside the Astronomical Observatory, where Dr. Sabri Ali explained four parts of the contents of the Observatory, which are as follows: the telescopes and how to use them, the solar system with all its different components (physical and kinetic), and various nebulae and galaxies in their different forms and types. After that, the astronomy expert at the Observatory Mr. Abdullah Al Khudairi explained the real and virtual movements of the moon in the sky through its phases, and how the phases and beginning of the Arab month occurs, as well as the solar and lunar eclipses occurrences. Then the students visited the planetarium where Prof. Majdi Yousef Amin gave a detailed explanation about the planetarium and its uses, and the movement of the stars, planets, the sun and the moon, as well as constellations formations. At the end of the visit, the visitors expressed their admiration for the Astronomical Observatory and thanked everyone for the warm reception and hospitality
