Chemistry Department Celebrates Saudi National Day

The chemistry department represented by its female students participated in the celebration of the Saudi National Day hailing the monarchs of the kingdom and its security. The participation comes out of belief in the importance to root patriotism and boost students' knowledge of the efforts made by the monarchs, over the years. A speech was delivered by the student Rim AL Barghash on the importance of security for the people of Saudi Arabia as well as the achievements of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the crown prince and the deputy crown prince to preserve the unity and boarders of the kingdom. A documentary film was played on the monarchs that ruled the kingdom along with brochures distributed to audience about the achievements of the kings over times. The students set after that a board where the audience followed in succession to write their suggestions for the development of the kingdom. The deputy vice dean for female section Mrs. Maha AL Lifaan welcomed then the audience and thanked the organizers of the ceremony. The floor was then given to the department coordinator Dr. Shadlia Mahmoud who congratulated the participants and stressed the importance of security. Dr. Abeer Hamdi -the department activities coordinator- quoted Quranic verses that highlight the fact that security is a bounty from Allah. Dr. Hamdi noted then that the bounties Allah granted to people are uncountable. She argued that subsequent to the great bounty of belief comes security in its different forms, psychological, religious, personal, economic and legal. Dr. Hamdi raised then a number of questions to support the argument that without security the human species would not cherish life and develop it. People, she argued would never interact easily and trade with each other optimistically and share interests.Allah the Highest says: {So let them worship the Lord of this House. He who has fed them against hunger, and has made them safe from fear}. And Ubaid-Allah bin Muhsin Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Prophet (peace be upon him) as saying, “If anyone among you is secure in mind in his life, healthy in body and has food for the day, it is as though the whole world has been brought into his Possession.”. Since Islam always seeks to provide safety and security for its communities, it laid down certain commands, prescribed penalties and forbade corruption and evil. Allah the Almighty also told us that security is for those who do good deeds, adhere to the ways and guidance of Sunnah, and abandon the ways of corruption, in the Noble Qur'an he says: {It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship non but Him Alone) and confuse not their beliefs with sin by worshiping others besides Allah, for them there is security and they are rightly guided}. In addition to this, the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) used to say when he saw the Crescent " O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in safety, faith, peace, and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.". Security is a great blessing and a wonderful favor from Allah, which if we lose it, our lives will be lost and ruined, nations will be devastated, and we will lose all our grace. Moreover, fear will substitute security, hunger will replace comfort, and there will be chaos instead of unity, and injustice and aggression will take over justice and compassion ... My Allah protect us by His grace ... So thank Allah servants of Allah for the blessing of security, and all outward and inward blessings bestowed upon you, by prayer, obedience, good deeds, and abandoning all taboos. Allah the Almighty blessed this country with safety, security and other blessings till it became a proverbial nation among the other nations in this era in security, stability and fighting crime, because it's governed by Islamic law, and its Constitution is the book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace be upon him). So let anyone, who is tempted to tamper with the security and stability of this country, commit sabotage, terrorism or corruption, know that he has fallen into the abyss of deception and betrayal, as Allah the Almighty says: {The evil plot encompasses only him who makes it}, and that he has committed a heinous offense, which will deliver him a painful punishment, whether he was a Muslim or not. Furthermore, such subversion, wounds and kills the innocent souls of Muslims and non-Muslims, who have been granted amnesty by the Imam or his deputies, whose blood is prohibited to be spilled. Since Islam is a religion of justice, mercy and righteousness, it punishes oppressors, saboteurs and aggressors, who assault infallible souls, and prevent them and their ilk from committing any crimes. On the other hand, Islam commands us to do only good deed, and forbids us from all evil and doing harm, so fear Allah, O servants of Allah, and hold on to his rule, and unit to fight all sinful criminals, who want to shake your safety and security, tamper with your accomplishments, and spread chaos in your community, Allah the Almighty says: {And whoever earns a sin, he earns it against himself. And Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise}.Allah the Most High says: { It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof, and he will not find any protector or helper besides Allah}. We, in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and land of the Two Holly Mosques, have many countless blessings. The greatest blessing, for sure, is the believe in Allah and some other blessings including safety and security under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Deputy Crown Prince. The celebration was organized by students including: Reem Aiedh Mohammad Almutairy, Ibtehal Mohammad Abdullah Alsrie'e, Mona Mohammad Albdairy, Rafeah Mansor Almutairy, Manahil Othman Albargash and Nada Abdulelah Ahmad Alomran. During the celebration, some snacks were served.
